Work Coordination Meeting: Development of agriculture sector in Kayin State

A work coordination meeting on development of agriculture sector in Kayin State was held at the Department of Agriculture in Mawlamyine. Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Tin Htut joined the second day meeting on January 8th, and discussed the need to conduct applied research works for significant development of agriculture sector.

He also stressed to carry out farmer educative activities to ensure the sustainability of development. He encouraged for fully operation of the laboratories for testing soil, seed and insects in the state while conducting research works on the eco-system and nurturing new rubber species using the bio-technology.
