Work Coordination Meeting: Boosting exploration of oil and natural gas

The Ministry of Enregy held a work coordination meeting on boosting exploration of oil and natural gas from offshore and inland plots on Wednesday.

The meeting dicussed the plans to boost exploration at Maubin (South) Oil and Natural Gas Field, feasibility study on Phayakone area and preparation for conducting sismics study at Zabagyi San and Natsin Kone areas in the coming open season.

Union Minister U Ko Ko Lwin discussed the need to use modern technologies in implementing the tasks, complying with the policies and procedures laid down by the state. He also stressed for mutual beneficial investment approach, emphasizing to provide natural gas needed for operating the Fertilizer Plants and Oil Refineries.
