Work Coordination Meeting: 3rd work coordination meeting for Youth Forum held

The third work coordination meeting of the Leading Committee for Organizing the Youth Peace Forum was held on January 5 at the M Gallery Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Leading Committee, Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, stated that the importance of youth in peace will be exemplified through the upcoming Youth Peace Forum. He said the forum aims to identify high-quality youth for nation-building and to connect the roles of youth with peace.

He emphasized that only with peace can youth have a better future, and only by nurturing youth can a peaceful environment be created. He expressed the hope that the forum would foster a harmonious environment, develop youth with good morals, identify innovative young people, and bring forth highly capable youth for the future state.

Subsequently, the Secretary of the Leading Committee, Lt-Gen Min Naing, explained that this meeting would seek confirmation on points requiring decisions from respective committees. He clarified that this forum differs from previous peace forums as it is a discussion platform specifically for youth.

He stated that the Youth Peace Forum is organized with the aim of highlighting the crucial role of youth for the future. He then provided detailed discussions on matters related to organizing the Youth Peace Forum, the status of preparatory work, and coordination tasks.

Following this, Deputy Ministers from various ministries, member of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, Permanent Secretaries, Directors-General, and Ministers of Social Affairs from Regions and States provided explanations and discussions according to their respective sectors. Attendees participated in collaborative discussions and suggestions.

Continuing, the Vice-Chairman of the Leading Committee, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, added that this Youth Peace Forum is a substantive forum for the country. He stressed that the state values youth, and the forum must convey to youth the message that a secure, happy, and stable community can be achieved. He emphasized the need to build trust between youth and the government, as well as between the people and the government. He stated that at this Youth Peace Forum, youth should be able to convey the message that they are important for nation-building.

Finally, the Chairman of the Leading Committee, Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, delivered concluding remarks.
