Work Committee meeting: MoC Union Minister addressed the meeting

The Rakhine State Socio-Economic Development Work Committee held its coordination meeting 1/2023 at the Ministry of Commerce in the morning on Monday.

The Committee Chairman Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo gave a speech at the meeting. In his speech, Union Minister said that the Socio-Economic Development Work committee has been established to successfully implement the activities of Rakhine State by the Rakhine State Stability, Peace and Development Work committee, during the SAC Chairman’s trip to Rakhine State, he gave the instructions to implement the suitable development projects for each region for short and long term as well as consider from all sides.

The Union Minister also urged to carry out to resettlement of displaced persons, Myanmar has exported 200,000 tons of rice included 2,500 tons of rice from Rakhine State to Bangladesh under MOU agreement and the rice exports from Rakhine State will be permitted in the future, the state development programs and other measures will be carried out to promote the socioeconomic status by cooperating with the related departments.

Then, the secretary of the working committee reported on the work implementation processes and the vice-chairs and members of the working committee discussed on related measures. The meeting was attended by the vice-chairpersons Chief Minister of Rakhine State, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and other concerned officials.
