Work Committee meeting: 8th meeting of work Committee for drafting Nat’l Lang Law

The eighth meeting of the Work Committee for Drafting National Land Law and Harmonization of related Laws was held at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation in Nay Pyi Taw on October 28.

During the meeting, Committee Chairman (1) Union Minister U Min Naung delivered opening remarks, followed by presentations and discussions from committee members, chairpersons of supporting task forces, and leaders of the sub-committee on drafting law in relevant sectors.

At this eighth meeting, the committee reviewed and discussed Chapters (1) to (15) of the initial draft of the National Land Law, consolidated and integrated two previously agreed-upon draft laws into a single comprehensive draft, and discussed on aligning the draft with the 2008 Constitution and the National Land Use Policy.
