Work Activities in Sagaing Region: Cleaning Campaign and sales of consumer goods

Collective cleaning activities conducted along Chindwin River in Kwaye Gyi Ward on Saturday. The activities aim to prevent pollution of river water and its environ due to the throwing of wastes into the river without discipline.

Members of the Myanmar Police Force and Fire Brigade, staff from the General Administration Department, Development Affairs Committee, and social organizations took part in the activities. Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw and officials oversaw the activities and provided foodstuff to the participants.

The Chief Minister and party later proceeded to Laeti Ward in Monywa and viewed the sales of consumer goods to the local people with reasonable price. They also met with the vendors in the Union Market and instructed for systematic garbage throwing, sanitation and fire safety measures.
