Winter storm brings snow to New York

Parts of the north-east U.S. are gearing up for what could be very heavy snow early Tuesday. A winter storm warning covered parts of the Northeast, including Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Rhode Island, with heavy snow forecast through Tuesday afternoon. Boston could get 13 cm and a messy Tuesday morning commute, according to the weather service.

As much as 25 cm could fall in western Massachusetts, northwest Connecticut and southern Vermont.Snow was visible before dawn on Tuesday morning in Massachusetts and north of New York City.
