Wildfires are blazing across multiple regions in Canada, with burned areas expanding to 77,000 square kilometers while up to 257 fires are now spiraling out of control.

The wildfire smoke now has enveloped many big cities in North America, making the air quality dangerously poor in multiple states on the East Coast and Midwest of the United States.

Canada is now just stepping into its wildfire season which usually lasts for several months from spring to autumn. In total, more than 100,000 people were displaced by wildfires across Canada.
