WHO evacuated 25 patients and 92 companions from Gaza

On 8 December, WHO evacuated 25 patients and 92 companions from Gaza to Italy, Belgium, Norway, and Romania. More than 18,500 patients still require medical evacuation for advanced treatment unavailable in Gaza.

WHO continues to call for more countries to step forward and accept patients, and for the opening of all crossings for medical evacuation, particularly West Bank, including east Jerusalem, which is the most cost and time effective route.
