White House lowers US flag following Minneapolis shooting

The US flag flying atop the White House is lowered to half-mast following a deadly shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A gunman opened fire on school children attending a church service, killing two pupils and wounding 17 children and adults. More than 600 people attended a vigil mourning the victims at a nearby school on Wednesday evening, the Minnesota Star Tribune reported.
