Whale found dead on Doha beach

A dead whale washed up on a beach in the Sealine area of Doha on Friday. A marine specialist told the Associated Press the stricken mammal was a female Bryde's whale measuring 14 meters.

Qatar's Ministry of Environment and Climate Change tweeted its specialist team had "dealt with the situation and took samples and measurements to conduct the necessary laboratory tests."

Three whales have become stranded in the Sealine area since 2019. Bryde's whales are common in UAE, Qatar, and Iran.
