Thailand is developing a 120-acre zoological park in the Thung Rangsit area of Pathum Thani, slated to become the world's first dedicated wetland zoo.

The initial phase of the project is expected to open in 2028. The new facility will showcase over 100 animal species in spacious, barrier-free environments designed to mimic their natural habitats, with the ambitious goal of allowing species like deer and tigers to coexist.

The full zoo is anticipated to be operational by 2029. The Thung Rangsit zoo will be divided into six distinct zones. Its core missions include providing comprehensive natural education, actively engaging in wildlife conservation and research initiatives, and promoting environmentally conscious eco-tourism.
