Weather Update: Intensifying low pressure area in Bay of Bengal

According to observations by the Meteorology and Hydrology Department, made at 12:30 hrs M.S.T. today, a low-pressure area over the Southwest Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has intensified and now exists as a well-marked low-pressure area in the Southeast Bay and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal.
It is expected to initially move North-westwards and further intensify into a depression over the West-central Bay of Bengal on October 22nd. Following this, it is forecasted to move North-Northeastwards towards the Bangladesh coast and adjoining West Bengal coast, India, with further intensification expected on the 25th. Weather conditions in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal are currently described as partly cloudy to cloudy.
