Weather Conditions: DMH issued warning of convective clouds

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology issued a warning on the convective clouds that can gather in the third week of April in the evening in Upper Myanmar areas. Due to the convective clouds, the weather conditions such as strong wind, hails, thunder and lightning can occur.

Director, Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, Hla Tun said “Due to the convective cloud by gradually rising day temperatures in the whole country, strong wind, thunder, hail and lightning happening in the afternoon and evening at the present. During the period of Pre Monsoon Season to before the onset of Southwest Monsoon into Myanmar, these weather conditions can be cause. During the period of Pre Monsoon Season, isolated rain or thundershowers are likely in the afternoon or evening accompanied with strong wind, hails, thunder and lightning.”

The convective clouds are gradually rising day temperatures in the whole country. The weather events mostly causes in the Upper Myanmar areas, especially dry zone such as Sagaing, Mandalay, Magwe, Bago and Nay Pyi Taw where public is advised to take necessary awareness with it.
