Water pouring to Bodhi tree: Taninthayi Region CM participated in the ceremony

The ceremony of pouring water to the Bodhi tree at the full moon day of Kasone (Buddha Day) organized by Taninthayi Region Government was held at Lokamarazein Pagoda which is a landmark of Dawei Township in the morning on May 22nd.

First, the Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko pad homage to the Buddha image at the Lokamarazein Pagoda, offtered flowers, water, candle light and donated 500,000 Kyats of cash donation in commemoration of the Full Moon Day of Kasone (Buddha Day) and a Pagoda Board of Trustee accepted the donation.

After performing the religious procedures, Chief Minister, Chief Justice of the Region High Court, Region Ministers, Deputy Commander of Coastal Region Command, invited guests and local well-wishers poured the water to the Bodhi trees.

After performing the regious procedures, the ceremony was concluded. Then, the local residents poured the water to the Bodhi trees happily and peacefully, it’s reported.
