Waste Management Strategy: Efforts for environmental conservation in Shan State

Shan State Environmental Management Supervisory Committee held the 5th Coordination meeting, in conjunction with the 2nd coordination meeting of Working Group on Forest Fire Prevention on 30th August.

Chairman of the Supervisory Committee, member of Shan State Government and Natural Resources Minister U Sai Laik attended the meetings, held at the Environmental Conservation Department (Shan State), and made an opening speech.

Shan State Government is making efforts for cities in the State to reduce plastic waste including single used plastic in line with the guidance of head of State. As part of the plans, the Township level waste management strategy and primary action plans (2022-2030) has been drafted to be implemented in respective sectors.
