Waso Robe Offering Ceremony: Shan State Government organizes ceremony in Taunggyi

2023 Shan State Government Waso Robe offering ceremony was held at the City Hall of Taunggyi in Shan State with the attendance of the Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye.

The ceremony was opened by reciting Namo Sata three times. Then, the Chief Minister and congregation received 5 precepts from the State Ovada Ceriya Presiding Sayadaw of Sunlungu Kamahtan  Monastery, and the members of sangha delivered Mitta Prittas.

Then, the Chief Minister and wife, Chief Justice of State High Court, State Ministers, departmental officials and well-wishers donated Waso robes and offertories to members of the Sangha. Then, the wives of Chief Minister and Chief Justice of State High Court donated robes and offertories to 5 nuns.

The congregation then listened to religious sermons delivered by Chairman of State Sangha Nayaka Committee Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw of Theintaung  Pariyatti Monastery and shared the merits gained. Then, the ceremony was concluded in line with the religious rituals.
