Waso robe offering ceremony: Sagaing Region CM attended the ceremony

Waso robe offering ceremony and honoring ceremony on Sangha who passed the religious exam were held at the Shwe Taung Oo Tipitaka Dhammaparla Maha Vihara monastery in Yinmapin township of Sagaing Region on 23rd July with the attendance by Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw and wife, North-west command commander, regional ministers, departmental officials, donors and invited guests.

First presiding Sayadaw of Tharsan monastery gave five precepts and then the Chief Minister and officials offered waso robes and offertories to Sayadaws.

Next, presiding Sayadaw of Maha Vijjasippa monastery delivered a sermon.

Later, the Chief Minister, commander and regional ministers offered the exam certificates, awards and cash donation to 13 monks who passed the exam. Then, the congregation offered day meal to the Sangha and shared merits gained.
