Waso Robe Offering Ceremony: MOEA UM attended and offered Waso Robe

The 10th Waso Robe Offering Ceremony of the families of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs was held at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on July 10.

The event was attended by Union Minister Khun Thant Zaw Htoo and his spouse, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung, director generals, deputy permanent secretary, deputy director generals, and other officers and staff.

At the ceremony, the Union Minister and his spouse, the Deputy Minister, and invited guests received the Five Precepts from the Chair of the Sangha Nayaka Committee for Zabuthiri Township and Presiding Sayadaw of Aye Mya Shwe Pyi Monastery, Bhaddanta Minzuthaka and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha.

Following this, the Union Minister and his spouse, the Deputy Minister, and senior officials respectfully offered Waso robes and donation items to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.

Afterward, all attendees listened respectfully to a Dhamma talk delivered by the Sayadaw. The ceremony concluded with the pouring of ceremonial water to share merit, and the offering of day-meals to the members of Sangha.
