War Memorial lit purple in Canberra in Sydney

The Australian War Memorial in Canberra was lit purple on Friday night for the coronation of King Charles III. The eternal flame was burning while the display was on and the full moon was shining above the monument.

In Sydney, a tree was planted on Saturday at Government House to commemorate the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.The event included a smoking ceremony.The planted tree is a broad-leaved paperbark sapling taken from a cutting of the tree that was planted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1954 in that same location.
