Wang Yi Meets German FM Baerbock in Beijing

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with German Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock on Monday. Wang emphasized China’s stable policy toward Germany and the importance of pragmatic cooperation amid global challenges.

Both sides highlighted the need to maintain dialogue, with Baerbock reaffirming Germany’s commitment to the one-China principle and supporting China’s role in addressing climate change.

The two ministers also discussed trade, including the EU’s anti-subsidy tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles. Baerbock, on a visit to China from Dec 2 to 3, co-chaired the seventh round of the China-Germany Strategic Dialogue on Diplomacy and Security.
