VSG in Rakhine State: VSG attends cash donation hand-over ceremony in Sittwe

Well-wishers have also been donating cash to monasteries and monastic schools in Rakhine State damaged due to the storm ‘MOCHA’.

The donated cash hand-over ceremony was held at the cave of Lawka Nanda Pagoda in Sittwe on Friday and was attended by Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win and many other officials.

This ceremony began with taking 5 precepts from members of the Sangha and donating offertories. And, Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture handed over 106 million Kyats donated by the well-wishers to Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin. The ceremony came to an end with sharing the merits gained.
