VP Harris surveys Hurricane Helene’s devastation first-hand in Georgia

US vice-president Kamala Harris visited the southern state of Georgia to witness first-hand the catastrophic destruction wrought by Hurricane Helene, and to meet with residents in Meadowbrook, a storm-ravaged neighborhood.

"The President and she have been paying close attention from the beginning to what we need to do to make sure the federal resources hit the ground as quickly as possible," said Harris. Harris also helped hand out styrofoam containers of food to impacted families at a shelter.
