Voting Process: Meeting On Casting Advance Votes For Myanmar Citizens Abroad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of International Cooperation organized a meeting on Wednesday for enabling to cast advance votes for Myanmar citizens abroad at the Myanmar embassies, permanent representative offices and Consul-General offices in foreign countries for 2020 General Election.

At the meeting, Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin gave instructions on reminder of filling form-15 to Myanmar citizens abroad to cast advance votes for 2020 General election, returning form-15 to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on time, drafting work programs on advance votes from relevant Myanmar embassies and the consulates, opening polling stations, measures for systematic voting for Myanmar citizens in foreign countries timely manner in line with the instructions of COVID-19 prevention. Permanent Secretary U Soe Han and officials from respective departments discussed programs on casting advance votes for Myanmar nationals abroad and voting the staffs in local, measures for local and international observers for the election and observing foreign embassies/organizations.

The meeting then ended with a concluding remark by the Union Minister.
