Voter List Management System: UEC Chairman attended opening of software training

The opening ceremony of the training on using the township level voter list management system was held at Hsin Phyu Shin Hall in transit camp-3 (YwaTaw) in the morning on January 11.

In his opening speech, the Chairman of Union Election Commission U Thein Soe said the two kinds of software which will be lectured at the training are for the township sub election commissions to be handled.

The UEC is addressing to be correct and complete voters list. Regarding with the compiling voters list, township and ward/village-tract sub election commissions must compile the voters list in conformity with the population list/forms and tables specified by the commission by acquiring the population list compiled by the township administration department under the ministry of home affairs and the township head officer’s office under the ministry of immigration and population, according to the Hluttaw election laws.

The UEC Chairman elaborated the process done for the correct and complete population list and voters list since February, 2022, and the features and functions of ADMIN and DEO Software in wide range explanation and gave necessary instructions.

The members of UEC and officials of UEC office and 150 trainees of assistant director and staff officers attended the ceremony and the training will take place from 11th to 14th January, it’s learnt.
