Volunteers hand New Year gifts to Russian homeless

A Russian charity organisation has started distributing New Year's gifts to homeless people in St. Petersburg. Residents and companies had donated food, clothes and hygiene products which were then packed into gift sets by volunteers.

Over 700 gift sets were prepared containing tangerines, sweets, cookies, tinned meat, personal hygiene products and warm clothes. The giveaway will run until December 31st.
