Volleyball competition: SAC members attended the opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of 2024 Inter-Regions and States Volleyball competition was held at Wunna Theiddi stadium (c) in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 7th of May.

The ceremony was attended by the members of State Administration Council Daw Dwe Bu, Porel Aung Thein, Dr. Hmu Htan, Dr. Ba Shwe, U Shwe Kyein, U Yan Kyaw, UEC Chairman U Ko Ko, Union Ministers, Deputy ministers and officials.

First, the Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan gave an opening speech highlighting the objectives of the competition and words of encouragement for the athletes.  

After reciting the sports vows by the athletes, the SAC members and Union Minister cordially greeted the administrators of the contestant teams and the athletes. Then, the SAC members and attendees watched the opening match between Team Nay Pyi Taw and Team Yangon Region of men volleyball event.

The 2024 Inter-Regions and States Volleyball competition will be held from 7th to 16th of May and 13 teams of men and 12 teams of women participate in the competition, it’s leant.
