




Social Welfare Department under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement has launched a 2-week Myanmar traditional food recipe and Cambodian food recipe courses starting from 16th January. This time, the training course at the Vocational Training School (Yangon) in Bahan township is for coaches from 10 vocational training schools across the country to be able to conduct and share at their respective places.
Principal, Sandar Myint, Vocational Training School (Yangon) said "There are 10 vocational training schools across the country which are in Yangon, Mandalay, Pathein, Mawlamyine, Taungoo, Pyapon, Sittwe, Ywangan and Dawei. This is the 4th training course this year. This course also includes 5 Cambodian food recipes according to the instruction of the Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement."
This training course is conducted with the aim of cleaning in preparing foods, cooking delicious and healthy foods and sharing the cooking techniques.
Trainer, Saw Lin Oo, Vocational Training School (Mawlamyine) said "At our Mawlamyine vocational training school, there are about 40 trainees in cooking class and sewing class. I will share the techniques what I am learning here with our trainees. By joining this course, we can also run our own business."
Yangon vocational training school offers 8 courses annually according for those who are interested in vocational subjects. This training course covers 10 kinds of Myanmar traditional dessert making and 10 kinds of curry cooking.
