Vladimir Putin meets the Emir of Qatar in Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani hold talks in the Kremlin. Putin describes Qatar as a "key partner" of Russia in the Middle East, while recognizing the country's "serious efforts to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict". Sheikh Tamim said Qatar would "strive to bridge perspectives in order to reach an agreement that ends the suffering of the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza".
