Visiting Siem Reap : President left Phnom Penh by special flight for Siem Reap

President U Min Aung Hlaing, leading a Myanmar high-level delegation on a State Visit to Cambodia, arrived in Siem Reap from Phnom Penh on Saturday. The delegation was seen off at Techo International Airport in Phnom Penh by senior Cambodian officials led by Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology Mr. Thor Chetha. 

Upon arrival at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Siem Reap Provincial Governor Mr. Prak Sophoan and officials. The President later met with the Siem Reap Governor and discussed the historical and cultural heritage of Siem Reap, a UNESCO-listed area, and its similarities with Bagan in Myanmar.

They also exchanged views on promoting tourism between Siem Reap and Bagan and protecting Myanmar citizens working in Siem Reap’s tourism and service sectors in accordance with Cambodian law. The Siem Reap Governor later hosted a luncheon for the Myanmar delegation, accompanied by traditional cultural performances.
