Visiting Myanmar Embassy : President visits Myanmar embassy in Phnom Penh

President U Min Aung Hlaing met with staff and families of the Myanmar Embassy and Military Attaché Office, as well as Myanmar trainees in Phnom Penh, on Saturday. The President highlighted the long-standing friendship and close cultural and religious ties between Myanmar and Cambodia.

He called for stronger cooperation between the two countries, especially in agriculture, livestock breeding and manufacturing. He also stressed the need for Myanmar and Cambodia to continue combating online financial scams and illegal online gambling, and urged Myanmar representatives abroad to closely follow developments in both countries and contribute to stronger bilateral relations.

The President encouraged diplomats and trainees to learn the Cambodian language and culture, support Myanmar citizens in Cambodia in accordance with the law, and maintain unity among the Myanmar community. He later presented food items and honorary cash awards to embassy staff, families and trainees.

The President also inspected the site for a new Myanmar Embassy building in Phnom Penh, giving necessary instructions on the project.
