Visit to Eastern Shan State: Efforts for promoting trade and cooperation

Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn visited Kengphaung and NaungNwan Check-points in Kengtung of Eastern Shan State on Saturday to observe the trade process and check cargo trucks for export and import items.

During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed prioritizing the smooth flow of commodities while abiding by the rules and procedures without bias.

Upon arrival at the Export/Import Office in Kengtung, the Union Minister met with the staff, urging all to carry out their duties in line with the economic objectives laid down by the state. They then proceeded to Tachileik Trade Camp and met with the One-Stop-Service members, officials from Merchant Associations, exporters, and importers.

The Union Minister urged all to promote the export sector, seek new export items, and make cooperative efforts for the sustainable development of trade matters.
