Vigil held for victims of Texas mall shooting

A vigil was held Sunday afternoon for the victims of the Dallas-area outlet mall shooting at Cottonwood Creek Church in Allen, Texas. The mayor of the city of Allen, Ken Fulk offered condolences on behalf of the city council saying that they are in shock and were all grieving together.

A gunman stepped out of a silver sedan and started shooting people at a Dallas-area outlet mall Saturday, killing eight and wounding seven others — three critically — before being killed by a police officer who happened to be nearby, authorities said. The shooting, the latest eruption of what has been an unprecedented pace of mass killings in the U.S., sent hundreds fleeing in panic.
