Doan Thi Huong, a Vietnamese woman, was sentenced to three years and 4 months of imprisonment for the death of a man from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) at a Malaysian airport in February 2017 after pleading to a lesser charge filed by the prosecutors on Monday.
The judge sentenced Doan to three years and four months. Since she's already been in custody for more than two years, and with the normal one-third sentence reduction, she will walk free in just over a month. Doan's lawyers said there will be no true justice until the four DPRK men – described as the masterminds of the plot and who fled right after the attack – are brought back to stand trial.
