Vietnamese Prime Minister led a high-level delegation in GMS

The 8th Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Cooperation Summit officially opened in Yunnan Province, China, on Thursday morning. Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh led a high-level Vietnamese delegation to the summit at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

At the summit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh delivered a significant speech, summarizing five key lessons from 32 years of GMS cooperation and highlighting a strategic direction for the mechanism’s new development phase. The Prime Minister emphasized that it is time for GMS to focus on developing next-generation economic corridors, centering on innovation and going beyond the limitations of traditional models.
