Vietnamese Prime Minister chairs trilateral meeting with Lao, Cambodian counterparts

On the sidelines of the 46th ASEAN Summit, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a trilateral meeting with his Lao and Cambodian counterparts.

The leaders agreed to boost cooperation across sectors, consider a cross-border economic zone, raise Viet Nam–Laos trade to 5 billion USD and Viet Nam–Cambodia to 20 billion USD and promote the “Three countries, one destination” initiative and transport links to Thailand. They emphasized strengthening traditional solidarity, delegation exchanges, and youth connections.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked Laos and Cambodia for supporting the Vietnamese community and invited Party General Secretary To Lam to attend Viet Nam’s 80th National Day.
