Starting from July 2nd, Vietnamese instant noodles will no longer be subject to EU food safety control, according to Regulation No. 6/2024, announced by the European Commission. Viet Nam’s EU Trade Counsellor in Belgium, attributes this achievement to collaborative efforts among government bodies and businesses to ensure the quality and safety of instant noodle exports to the EU.

This deregulation presents a significant opportunity for Vietnamese instant noodles to access the EU market more easily, benefiting from its large consumer base. Additionally, adjustments to inspection regulations have been made for other Vietnamese agricultural products, such as increasing the frequency of inspections for dragon fruit and regulation changes for chili products.
