Vietnam – Hungary enhance parliamentary cooperation

On Monday afternoon, Viet Nam National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn hosted an official welcome ceremony for Hungarian National Assembly Speaker László Kövér, who is leading a high-level delegation on an official visit to Vietnam.

Following the ceremony, the two sides held talks. Viet Nam National Assembly Chairman reaffirmed Viet Nam’s gratitude for Hungary’s valuable support during the struggle for independence and national development.

Speaker László Kövér thanked Chairman and the Vietnamese people for their warm reception, affirming that under Hungary’s “Eastern Opening” policy, Viet Nam remains its most important partner in Southeast Asia.  Both leaders agreed to deepen exchanges across all channels, and expand cooperation in education, science, health, environment, culture, and tourism.
