Viet Nam, U.S. prepare for 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations

General Secretary of the Communist Party and President of Viet Nam To Lam attended the first anniversary of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Viet Nam and the U.S. on Monday in New York.

Both countries are gearing up for the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year. To Lam thanked the U.S. government and its people for support during Typhoon Yagi.

He urged both countries to strengthen cooperation by effectively implementing their joint declaration, enhancing high-level exchanges, and focusing on strategic breakthroughs in science, technology, and quality human resource training.
