Viet Nam-South Africa defense cooperation

Vietnamese Minister of National Defense General Phan Văn Giang on Tuesday met with Acting Secretary for Defense of South Africa Thobekile Gamede during her visit to Viet Nam to co-chair the third Viet Nam-South Africa Defense Policy Dialogue.

The minister highlighted South Africa’s important role and position in Africa, noting its rich natural resources, significant economic potential, developed industrial and agricultural sectors, and advanced science and technology. The South African official expressed her hope that in the coming time, the two sides will coordinate and strengthen cooperation in the agreed areas, thereby contributing to further developing the relationship between the two ministries.
