The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has been advocating for airfare price stabilization and increased flight frequency to ensure the benefits to both passengers and the aviation industry. As part of the efforts, Vietjet Airlines has brought in several measures to help reduce air ticket prices, including introducing additional 1.4 million air tickets across its network.

It has also increased the number of night flights by 3,100, with some prices at 50% lower than daytime flights. However, achieving these goals requires not only the efforts of the aviation industry but also supportive policies and mechanisms.

Since late 2023, the number of quality aircrafts owned by Vietnamese airlines has shrunk. Experts suggest investing in new aircraft that can operate with minimal maintenance should solve the efficiency problem. Additionally, exemptions from current aircraft fuel taxes would be beneficial.
