Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia hold joint exercise

On October 6, in Lao’s Vientiane, the opening ceremony of training and rehearsals took place in preparation for the joint search and rescue exercise of the militaries of Laos, Việt Nam, and Cambodia.

This is the fourth joint exercise held by the three countries’ armed forces. The joint search and rescue exercise is an annual activity under the agreement between the defense ministers of three countries. This year’s event gathers over 1,000 officers and soldiers with hundreds of modern vehicles and equipment.

During the exercise, the three militaries will practice rescue operations, including saving victims swept away by floods and rescuing people trapped in collapsed structures, aiming to enhance coordination and readiness for disaster response.
