Viet Nam holds State rehearsal for 80th National Day

A full-scale state rehearsal for the upcoming 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day grand parade took place on Saturday morning at Ba Đình Square and several central streets.

Viet Nam Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and many Party and State leaders attended the event. The rehearsal began with the torch relay and ceremonial flame lighting. Symbolising the aspirations of the Vietnamese people.

Opening the parade, Viet Nam People’s Air Force formations flew over Ba Đình Square, carrying the national flag high across the sky. The rehearsal not only served as the final preview for the official ceremony on September 2, but also demonstrated the strength of the armed forces and the great national unity.
