Viet Nam collects 1.4 billion USD from rice exports

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Viet Nam exported over 2.1 million tons of rice, valued at nearly 1.4 billion USD in the first quarter of this year.

This is about a 42% increase compared to the same period last year. Consequently, rice is now among the billion-dollar export agricultural products. This is due to increased purchases from primary markets such as the Philippines, Indonesia, China, Ghana, Malaysia, and Singapore. Notably, Vietnamese rice predominated in the Philippines’ rice auctions in the first quarter.
