Viet Nam, China launch cross-border transport routes

The inauguration ceremony for cross-border road transport routes between Viet Nam and China took place Thursday. The event was jointly organized by the Department for Roads of Viet Nam, the Chinese Ministry of Transport, and the Asian Development Bank.

The routes extend deep into Viet Nam’s interior, forming part of the implementation of the Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-Border Transport of Goods and People among Greater Mekong Subregion countries. It aims to reduce time, costs, and procedures for transport businesses while establishing a foundation for enhanced trade, investment, logistics, and economic development in the Greater Mekong Subregion.
