Viet Nam and US promote educational cooperation

Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính met with a delegation from 21 U.S. universities during an international academic exchange program on Monday.

Chính emphasized that Viet Nam considers education and training, science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation essential to its development process.

To enhance cooperation in these fields, the Vietnamese leader expressed hope that U.S. schools would continue providing scholarships to Vietnamese students and confirmed that Viet Nam would reciprocate. During the meeting, Chính also requested the schools’ assistance in lobbying the U.S. government to reduce policies affecting Viet Nam’s economic and trade relations.
