Viet Nam – US Strengthen Transport Cooperation

Viet Nam and the United States are discussing solutions to strengthen cooperation in transportation.

During a Friday meeting with the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Vietnamese Minister of Transportation proposed several initiatives, including the creation of a blue ocean transport corridor linking major seaports in both countries.

The leader also suggested revising the Air Transport Agreement to increase destinations and flight frequencies, aiming to better serve passenger and cargo needs.

Additionally, he called for U.S. support in developing standards and regulations for electric vehicles and related infrastructure in Viet Nam, and proposed participation in policy dialogues on the automobile industry with U.S.
