Viet Nam – Belarus establish strategic partnership

On 12th May, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko hosted an official welcoming ceremony for Party General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam, who was on a State visit to the Republic of Belarus. 

Later, the two leaders held talks and discussed future bilateral cooperation. They agreed on strategic measures to deepen cooperation across all sectors, emphasizing the need to maintain regular high-level exchanges and to promote existing cooperation mechanisms. 

They committed to expanding trade, investment, and economic collaboration while broadening cooperation in promising areas. Both sides pledged to closely coordinate at multilateral forums. The two leaders signed and exchanged a Joint Statement establishing the Vietnam–Belarus strategic partnership. 

And, they also witnessed the signing of several cooperation agreements. Lukashenko awarded Party General Secretary To Lam the Order of Friendship of Peoples.
