Viet Nam’s passport rises five places in global ranking

Recently, Viet Nam’s passport continues to climb the global ranking in 2026, according to the Henley Passport Index report. In fact, the Vietnamese passport has risen 5 places, reaching its highest level in 5 years.

In the 2026 ranking, the Vietnamese passport is ranked 86th, with 49 visa-free, visa-on-arrival, or e-travel permit destinations, out of 199 countries and territories ranked. This ranking is based on proprietary data from the International Air Transport Association, published by the global citizenship and residency consulting firm Henley & Partners (based in London, UK).
