Viet Nam’s Military Dispatches to Combat Super Typhoon

According to the Vietnamese Department of Search and Rescue, over 450,000 people and 10,000 vehicles have been mobilised to respond to Super Typhoon Yagi. Military Regions along with the Hanoi Capital Command, have supported people in securing their homes and evacuating from dangerous areas.

The Border Guard Command has instructed coastal provinces to manage sea traffic, organise vessel anchoring, and handle any emerging issues. Viettel Military Telecommunications Group has deployed 6,500 personnel, over 110 rescue teams, and thousands of generators to ensure uninterrupted communication during the storm.
